Preparing for The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Board Examinations

A girl singing at her voice recital Perhaps you are looking for a way to evaluate your child’s success in singing or piano?

Vocal Assessment and Preparation

We offer preparation for The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) board examinations, the American standard for vocal assessment. These exams can be taken by both beginner and advanced singers. If taking these exams is something you are serious about, our lessons will help you or your young singer prepare for board requirements around music theory, sight singing, ear training, vocal technique and repertoire. Students will develop a strong foundational understanding of the inner workings of their voice, and practice skills in expressiveness and song interpretation for an RCM-worthy performance. The RCM curriculum we use with these students is highly structured and rigorous. These exams will lead to formal certification, bestowing honor upon and creating new opportunities for the aspiring vocalist. Piano Assessment and Preparation

Our academy also provides comprehensive preparation for the RCM piano board examinations. In our lessons with both beginners and advanced students, we will work on technical skills, repertoire, sight-reading, expressive playing, ear training and music theory. The RCM syllabus is a well-rounded approach to music reading and playing. This ensures that the student receives the best in piano education. Passing these board certification exams is a prestigious event for the young pianist.
