Student Recitals, Workshops & Community Events

Performing is where practice pays off. At Downingtown Music Academy, students get chances to share their music with family, friends and the community, from small studio recitals to local festivals. Performing is always encouraged and never required.

Studio Recitals

We hold student recitals during the year, where students play or sing for family and friends in a friendly setting. Our next recital is the kids' recital on December 12. Sessions run 1 to 3 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Downingtown Arts and Athletics. We may also host holiday events around then, and we'll post details on our calendar once they're set.

Community Events

Our students and teachers also take part in events around Downingtown. This year, we joined the Downingtown Fall Fest on Sunday, October 4. Our students performed from 11:00 to 11:30 AM and from 3:00 to 3:30 PM. Over the years, our students have performed at workshops, master classes, non-profit concerts, music festivals and farmers markets.

Workshops and Open Houses

Throughout the year, we host workshops and open house activities for students and families. Check our calendar for what's coming up.

How to Take Part

Ask your teacher about the next recital or event. They'll help you choose a piece, practice it and feel ready. New students are welcome too: book a trial lesson and ask about our next event.
